Concert At Pleasant Retreat:

On Saturday, August 8th, 2009, The Governor William Owsley House Foundation Board, Lancaster Women's' Club and The Garrard County Arts Council will be hosting at Pleasant Retreat,  a concert featuring The Baja Jazz Ambassadors of Lexington. Grounds will be open at 4pm & refreshments available at 5pm and the concert begins at 6pm. Rain date, August 10th at 6:30pm. For further information please visit:

The Owsley House is featured in Garrard County’s newest promotional commercial. “Thanks goes to Parker Young, Nathan Mick and everyone who had an active role in making this great video presentation of our wonderful county!” Says John Wilson.

Maggie Morris, Lancaster City Council Member and Garrard County Arts Council Board Member is happy to report on the success of the 2010 Come Sit A Spell Concert & Auction. “It was a wonderful evening with regional wineries, cheese producers, and a professional musician, Jack Covell, playing on the back porch... and I'm so proud of the 85 guests, artists, and sponsors who attended.”
